New iMac 2012 continued multiple questions

Ok so this thread is getting lame from me complaining but I did get my gmail account (both send and receive) by using IMAP.

Then I was able to go ths same thing for my work account also using IMAP.

So emails are now good.

Can someone point me to the right direction to properly set up contacts and messages.
