Stolen ID

17 cousin found out recently her SSN has been stolen by someone who has used it to work at various jobs in San Francisco. A family friend is trying to help her cleaning up the mess. Still, lots of work ahead. From what I have read it would take 3-5 years for her to be in the clear. Besides mortgage, loans, what other areas are affected by this ID theft?
