Is it just me, or is iTunes 12's Playlists a clusterf*ck?

I edit frickin' playlists all the time in iTunes. Perhaps I could help…

Nothing in particular, just the common complaint about iTunes prioritizing appearance over function, hiding controls, etc.

I don't edit them often, and just needed to discover the simpler, "previous method" that's buried under all the superfluous views and hidden controls that Apple thinks people like nowadays.

In doing so, it made me realize how redundant the My Music view is, and unnecessary if Apple had just left the sidebar in place for the primary view.

It's still possible to use the previous methods to add/delete from a playlist; it just has to be in Library view (which ironically is the closest thing to the older iTunes), and the playlists themselves put into the desired views.

The new method with the Edit/Done buttons and cramped views? Who wants to use that? Of course, they have to be accompanied by some useless animations.

The old, functional iTunes remains underneath the surface; one just has to coax it into the open, which to me is the real problem.
