Maybe it's just me but I never understand why anyone would want a .att or .comcast or .veriozon or any other provider email.

If you ever decide to change service for whatever reason you have to get a whole new email all over again.

I had my EarthLink email before there was a gmail. Lol.
I would have just kept my .mac address, which they said would always be free, but then they started charging for it. Now you can get an iCloud for free. Seems crazy they started charging for the .mac email, but whatever.

I do now have gmail addresses, but I pay to keep the EarthLink, at least for now, till I can be sure I have transitioned every one of the old ones over. Big PITA, so yes, a non ISP email is definitely the way to go, now.
