The Volt is REALLY quick up to about 35-40mph, then it calms down quite a bit. But it isn't exciting. There's no 'vroom!' and no shifting. It just quietly pins you in the seat then gently continues on to 60-70mph. the 0-60 time is nothing to get excited about, but 0-30 is impressive and just a bit shy of the Tesla P85. You get accustomed to that acceleration pretty quick.

Testing by Motor Trend indicates that the 2016 Volt is actually faster than the standard Model S 85(not the P85) from 0-30.
