Nice rant, max. There is a great scene in the movie Lincoln that talks EXACTLY why THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PROTEST VOTE. Democracy largely changes in small increments - with the exception of horrifying changes like the Civil War.
Once your preferred candidate loses (in this case, Bernie was NOT close to winning the Dem ticket), NOT supporting the next closest candidate IS supporting the other side - in this case, Trump. Once Bernie lost, if he had been truly a part of the Democratic movement, he would have supported Clinton with the goal of getting progress on his change movement. Instead, he was a reluctant supporter.
Until you admit that THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES TO VOTING in a democracy, you will keep blaming the WRONG people.
As for 45, he IS acting like a dictator when his power is not checked. And his attacks on the media and law enforcement, and his witness tampering by ridiculous pardons, and his loyalty tests - they are unprecedented. We do not even have checks and balances for his actions. Especially when those who want real change in this country - like you - fail to stand up to him.
I am not a faux NTer - he is NOT QUALIFIED to be our Commander in Chief. I have a number of conservative friends who are APPALLED at who we have voted in to be in charge of the military. They feel abandoned as they are not pro-Dems, but the current GOP is not standing up for their values. As bad as Cruz would have been, I do not think he'd try to start a nuclear war. And I am sure he would take charge of casualties and their families when their bodies come home. Not so, 45.
Finally, I am holding a Japanese paper from Hiroshima talking about Trump and North Korea. And I was just in Hong Kong. The Asia press are FAR more worried about Trump and skeptical of his actions than 99% of US MSM.
