What has been your favorite music player
#12
1) My car's optional high-end system.

As it was part of the package of a loaded previous model year car, I didn't notice that it was an upgrade. It had a cassette deck of decent quality, and a six-cd changer in the console. It wasn't new enough for an AUX jack or USB port. The FM section was sub-par for FM, but typical for every car I've ever been in.

But the amp and speakers are exquisite. Unfortunately, the car doesn't isolate outside noise well, so that means pumping up the volume (not necessarily a bad thing).

There is I like more than listening to good sounding music I like while driving. In that category, riding my bike is a better feeling, but the acoustics don't bode well for musicality. But it's close enough.

2) My iPods. My last was the 80G Classic. Nearly all my music portable. I could listen to what I wanted anytime, any place. With good earbuds, even being out and about was sheer joy. I wish I and opted for the 120 or 160G version. At home, good 'cans meant more joy.

A 128G 'Phone will probably be in my future, but listening to music on my 'Phones, will wholly enjoyable, doesn't give my quite the same thrill .The thrill isn't gone, it's just diminished. Every now and then I break out the Classic, and it's back.
