No real odor to it. Of course, I washed it off and got the mud and dirt that was inside. The end of it is hollow almost all the way to the inside of the (10-11mm) plastic "head". it must have been in the tall grass a while and none of the vehicles is acticg strangely so I'm guessing it's nothing important...but what the hell do I know. Wink
