Quick question re audio recording-plug two USB mics into Mac?

For the interviews I mentioned earlier, I've decided to go with audio only.

I'm thinking I could just plug two usb mics into my macbook air, and record on Garageband.

Any downsides to that? Any easy, affordable improvements (pop filter on the mic, etc.)?

Afterthought-Could I plug in more than 2 mics by using a USB hub? I assume so, but want to confirm. Thanks.
