Really just an opportunity for a new grift.
In the mean time a number of oil and gasoline (!) pipelines around the US are far past their useful life and are leaking and failing. Because the companies that own them have not been maintaining them.
And let's talk about the Climate Change Elephant in the oil room.
The Aleskaya Alaska pipeline is slowly breaking down because 'permafrost'... is no longer permanent. That's half a million barrels a day... and 9 million barrels that fills the pipeline from start to end. (no, it won't all leak out, there are safety procedures in place).
