For many motorcycles, rebuilding the carbs isn’t as aggravating as getting at the carbs and removing them for the cleaning procedure. An ultrasonic cleaner certainly helps the latter, as well as buying new jets rather than trying to clean out the tiny openings in clogged jets.
Jets and emulsion tubes don't bother me. You can either see daylight through them or you can't. It's the hidden passages that need an extra blast of carb cleanser or brake cleaner.
I was also tasked with getting a '95 Kawasaki Bayou 220 running. It's a 4-wheel motorcycle (ATV).
I learned that the air/fuel screw on that Mikuni is located under the carb. You have to remove the air box and the carb to adjust. It's been a headache but I haven't given up yet. 1 cyl machines are the easiest, but sorta like EFI in that stuff either works or it doesn't. The disadvantage is there's no code telling you what's wrong.
