Just to get the obvious out of the way: Nothing hanging from the bottom of the door, like a leaf stuck to a spider web? Nothing floating around the sensor, again like a leaf on a spider web, that only interferes with the sensor when a little gust of wind blows under the door as it gets close to the bottom?
We are dealing with our sensors getting finicky when there's a lot of sunlight in the doorway. I think it may be because some optical element in the sensor is clouding with age. Bright light may be scattered inside the sensor such that it confuses the sensor.
