2-year-old U.S. citizen was deported

I read that they came for the woman and she wanted to bring her child who was born in the US.

The mother attended a scheduled immigration appointment, accompanied by her children, and was grabbed at the appointment. The father claims to have had a brief phone call with the mother that was cut short by the officials.

An emergency petition was filed, but when the Judge investigated, the plane was already in the air.

The whole point of these deportations is to do them so fast that due process is impossible. I suspect the officials implied to the mother that if she didn't take her daughter with her, the child would remain in custody with an unknown fate. I doubt they offered to facilitate arrangements for the father or other relatives to take her.
