Congrats!

Can you say a bit about your experience with CGM?

Type 2 diabetic (genetics…. The diabetes is strong in my family)… I found myself hating finger sticks and my A1C started spiraling up, peripheral neuropathy started appearing, and my fast healing started to be regular healing. So I talked to my doctor and he got my insurance to pay for a Dexcom G7. And with fast feedback, I started realizing that I was eating out of habit and not need. A1C dropped from 9 to about 6.8. I’m going in to a full endocrinologist work up in a month for the next step.

CGM’s need calibration, fail sometimes. My failure rate for the sensors is about 10%. They get replaced for free, so that’s okay. I tried the Libre, but the Dexcom worked better.
