Not to sound judgemental, but for everyone who seemed concerned about how many hours people spend watching TV every week, it occurs to me that many of us probably well exceed that number in hours at our computers online, quite possibly at this forum.
I watch TV maybe 10 hours a week at the most, more like 5 hours average. But when it comes to the Internet, I am probably over 40 hours a week. I may be a special case since I spend almost all my time at my job on the computer, and much of that is non-work related stuff. It's not a problem or a concern for my employer because of the nature of my job, so don't think I'm just slacking off all the time.
So in addition to computing time at work, I am also on the computer at home for at least another 10 hours a week. Not just online, but doing web design stuff, audio editing, etc... I also exercise and do other things on the side no involving a computer, so I am not overweight or otherwise affected by this, but I just wanted to put this into some perspective.
