OT: Anyone watch "The Evidence" tonight?
#6
I want to like this show.

Just finished watching. I don't like the premise and constant flashbacks to the "evidence". It comes off as a gimmick more than a unique plot device, and doesn't really seem to give us the promise of solving the case.

The wrap-up of the "evidence" accomplishes nothing.

They're cramming a lot of plot point/devices in the first episode. It came off as a little to contrived and busy for me.

And though I'm easy when it comes to suspending disbelief, the confrontation between Jones' character and the suspect ticked me off. It would have been believable if the suspect had a gun instead of a knife.

I've liked Rob Estes since Silk Stalkings, and Jones is affable. The chemistry is good though some of the dialog comes off as a bit contrived.

Though the black/white card was played, it wasn't over played. I did like the BOLF "an unlicensed white man using black vernacular".

I'll watch it again to give it a chance.
