I've had success playing most Divx files throught QT/FrontRow using the Divx plugin -- but you have to use the beta plug-in for Intel Macs (the other won't work if you are using QT as a universal binary app)

Looks like there's a new version as of March 16, I've got the older one.
With the beta Divx 6 software, FrontRow recognizes most movies and the few it doesn't can be viewed/converted in VLC or easily converted to a more QT friendly format (DivXWMAConverter usually does the trick) for use in FrontRow.
