I've been using Energizers 1700's for about 3 years and 2300's
for about a year now and haven't had a failure. I have
enough that I usually only charge them in my slow 15 hour
charger which I believe is much easier on them. My 1 hour
charger gets them too hot to handle. As far as sitting around
and going bad, I only buy them at the god awful Sam's Club so
I don't have to worry about them being 2 years old. We have
about 2 dozen in use around the house.
