Based on an earlier thread ( http://forums.macresource.com/read/1/39371 ) and a suggestion I start a new post...
One of my writing exercises is along the lines of re-imaging an established story in a different setting (y'know how Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST was made into FORBIDDEN PLANET) or taking established characters and re-imagining their situation (like the new BATTLESTAR GALACTICA).
One project I've worked for years on (meaning I pick it up from time to time and play around; I write for my own enjoyment kind of thing) is SPACE: 2099. Long story short, it's a space station (a la RAMA, if anyone knows that story) not the whole friggin' moon that gets "journeyed", etc. (I basically wanted to write a story that still included the Eagles as we know and love them).
But, taking that in mind, it was commented (above thread) jokingly about Michelle Pfieffer being in SPACE: 1999. So I thought, groovy (hee hee) there's my female lead.
Now, then, Forumites, cast the rest. You can take characters from year one and/or year two.
I've always been stumped with a replacement for Koenig (Martin Landau) and Carter (Nick Tate).
(Again, fwiw, I wasn't too crazy about the show; it was the Eagles that caught my attention. But for a writing project, it's pretty enjoyable.)
