Clamshell iBook PC100 vs. PC133 - Does it matter?
#4
Either PC100 or PC133 will work. PC133's will run at the memory bus speed of the iBook, however slow it may be (PC66 (66MHz)or PC100 (100MHz)).

You want 'Low Profile' SO-DIMM (carrier board is only slightly longer than a memory IC) and 'non-stacked' (no piggyback IC's)

Take a look at OWC's memory upgrade offerings for the G3 FireWire iBook . There are pictures of the available DIMM's there...

512MB PC100 CL2 2-2-2 LowProfile 1.25 inch(non-stacked)2-2-2 So-DIMM

512MB PC133 CL3/PC100 CL2 SO-DIMM (Low Profile)
