That is an interesting point. I lived near a former Harmonist community and the place is now run as a museum of sorts. The furniture was all donated by their decendants. Go figure that out.

Technically they were Harmonists, but they were celibate and lived similar lifestyles to the Shakers. Their descentants are a bit confused about their origins.
