You're lucky, as am I to have a vet like that. I'm on about the 30th year, now with old doc's daughter. I honestly haven't priced internet meds for heartworm and flea/tick medicine because (a) I'm convinced my vet isn't gouging me and (b) I'm more that willing to pay a small premium to keep the contact and support her vet practice.
I understand the sense in shopping if one is dealing with an animal practice where you don't really have any personal connection with the vet and staff.
