Need cheap SCSI card for G5 PCI

P.S. How did you get the Adaptec 2930 and 2906 cards to fit? They are 5 V PCI cards, the slots in your G5 should be 3.3 V PCI-X that only take PCI-X or 3.3 V PCI cards.


The 2906 would not fit, but the 2930 card fit in, but the G5 would not start up with it in place. Chimes but got no further. I have a SCSI>FW adapter, but it typically requires the Mac to be shut down and then the converter, the device and the Mac powered up in that order.

I have an Adaptec SCSI card that works on my Powerbook G4 that I may use

Or look for the ATTO card.
