That's only a positive if you *want* a QWERTY keyboard, and don't mind the negatives enumerated above.
There are lots of phones that will have *something* that people want that the iPhone lacks. That's the way of competition.
But none of them will have the iPhone's interface. *IF* they can equal or better that, then they'll get my attention. It's the interface that I want. I don't care if phones have a 7MP camera or a 104-key keyboard.
From what I could see at MWSF, the iPhone has a big, VERY beautiful screen- 160ppi. I don't know how many phones equal or better that, but I bet a three-fingered man can count them on one hand.
Touch screen, beautiful screen, Wi-Fi, BT. That's about all I want. No word on other mundane features like voice dialing, but I hope it has that.
Every time a phone with a touch screen comes out, somebody will try to compare it to an iPhone. Until a challenger can equal or better the interface/navigation, they're just also rans.
