Does Apple offer a cheap upgrade for consumer software?

Teachers get deep discounts through special offers.
Been several in the past.
iWorks is a mere shadow of Claris/AppleWorks.
Wish Apple would update it, I still use it to this day, it is old, but still better then iWorks.
