Remember when cable cost $18 a month and there were no commercials?
#8
You look back on $18 a month?! I am sooooo old that I can remember when cable was $4.99 a month, with an additional $1 for each premium channel. Of course I think there were only two. Smile

My cable bill for digital expanded basic is now $60 a month. Comcast is the only cable provider. I grumble each month when I see that charge, but I haven't decided exactly what, if anything, I'm going to do about it. I could drop the digital, but they're not charging much for that; it's the basic rate that's gone so high.

A while back, somebody posted a link to a site that would let you test your address for antenna reception. I can forget that option. My house sits at the base of a fairly large hill, and on top of that hill are extremely tall fir trees. I could hear laughter in the background when I got the results.

I'm open for suggestions, by the way. But I don't want to pay a year's wages in start up costs.
