Gig Ethernet Transfer: G5 to Intel iMac Why so slow?

gigabit works with any cat5 cable -- ive been using gigabit for at least 10 years using whatever cable i had lying around -- speeds were always fast fast

still should be using migration assistant if you are moving from one mac to another...
