More Mini Drama

My intel Mini is again giving me headaches. It has 10.5 on it and now, suddenly, it crashes out every time I launch ichat, software update or Yahoo messenger or iTunes and any other myriad of programs. Firefox does launch and run as does Safari. I've run disc utility on the drive a bunch of times, fixed permissions and etc. All with no change.

Any ideas?
