There's probably a fair number of cops that own Harleys. As well as doctors, lawyers, etc.
People that own excessively loud cars and motorcycles equate noise with power. 5 to 10 years from now they are going to wonder why they can't hear.
I take a different approach. I want to be seen but not heard.
If your neighbor was a respectful person; he would idle as quiet as possible through the neighborhood and leave his neighbors with a positive impression of motorcyclists.
