Suggestions for cleaning windshield - Interior

Well, we just had the topic of getting the exterior of a windshield clean, how about the interior? I have tried alcohol and ammonia based cleaning products, can see that there is a film that is just being smeared around. So what do you use to get these kind of films off? The film is especially visible under bright light.
