Please observe all laws pertaining to this subject...
Had a password-protected PDF from a client that we needed to extract a graphic. Screen cap didn't do the trick because of the nature of the graphic. Trying to open in Illustrator presents us with a password box (the client doesn't know the password). In some googling, I discover that you can open the PDF in the ColorSync Utility found in OS X, re-save, then open in illustrator or your PDF editor of choice. Just got the graphic and we're on our way.
