Small conference room - projector or 1080p monitor?

We've found that if you are looking at a permanent or semi-permanent installation (e.g. ceiling-mount) , an LCD or plasma is usually the more economical choice. In our business, most of the conference rooms of the size you describe are moving to monitors, but I don't have a lot of experience with them in use to give a rating.
