The Kahr subforum on the GlockTalk Forums: http://glocktalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=111 has about the best info I've seen on the Kahrs.
My MK9 has functioned flawlessly through 700+ rounds to date. From reading the Kahr threads, it seems the polymer models can be hit or miss in quality, great out of the box or back to the factory one or more times. The company does try its best to make it right. But the stainless steel models seem to have none of the problems; I'd buy another without question.
FWIW, I had actually planned to buy a Sig P239 in 9mm when I came across the Kahr. It was a good choice for me. It has the small size I need, a very solid feel, and a butter-smooth trigger. Accuracy is outstanding.
Try to shoot one if you can get the chance.
