Our neighbor is redoing the sewer lateral that connects our house and his house to the city sewer. The sewer is fine now, but 50+ years old, and as he is doing a complete remodel, he wants to resleeve or replace the pipe using the 'pipe burst' approach where the existing pipe is cracked as a new plastic pipe is winched through the sewer. Does anyone have knowledge or experience of these alternative, non trenching approaches? Cost, durability, reliability, problems-your expert perspective would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
