Leopard and Repair Permissions errors?

Repairing permissions in Leopard has some real issues. It can take HOURS when done with disk utility.

Over on the Apple discussion boards the recommend using the terminal and typing the command "sudo diskutil repairpermissions /" (without the quotes). Enter your login pass word and let it run. Just minimise the terminal window and go about your business.

I did this (and I'm scared to death of the terminal) and it only took 10 or so minutes.

All the error messages (SUID?) are normal until Apple gets this fixed.
