"Truth to Power"-- Wright speaks out
#13
[quote mattkime]>>And whether it's the right message or the wrong message isn't for me to decide.

...and yet you're going on and on about what you found wrong about his speeches.
Absolutely. Whether it's the right or wrong "message" is different than having ideas about what's right or wrong with the speech. It wasn't "speeches", it was an individual speech, at an NAACP dinner in Detroit.

Get your own congregation and figure out how to empower people.

Take the plugs out of your ear, and pay attention. If you're gonna stick your foot in, at least have something to contribute. Apparently, you didn't hear or read the speech we're discussing.

[quote blacklandlord]To quote Wright, did you listen to that whole sermon?
Actually, YES! I watched it from beginning to end, twice. It was running on a Canadian cable news channel, and it recycled, running twice consecutively. I left it on, and ended up watching the whole thing each time.

Next thing you know, i'll be ordering books and DVDs from Wright's website. A fan in the making?
