My hose got hosed

An all rubber hose should last longer but they are about twice as much. I would say to get a mid grade priced hose in whatever store you go to on a regular basis, or you could try to wait for a sale.
On the high end, Sears has Gilmour Flexogen for $44 and Home Depot has Goodyear for $38. |
