That's probably the nasty plasticizer that outgasses from the plastic in the interior, especially on new cars parked in the sun. Helps slow down accumulation if you keep the windows cracked a bit when the car is parked. I've gotten rid of it with a product called, I think glass polish. It's a lot like polish for the paint - you rub it on, let it dry, then rub it off with a clean rag.

A detail shop might give you some tips.
