Update: I finally thought about going to another computer to see if T-Bird work on it. (Duh.) Yup. That ruled out an ISP issue, so I deleted Thunderbird and installed a new download. So far, so good. I didn't think apps like this would become corrupted, but I guess they do. I'm back in business now, and all of my old e-mail is very neatly arranged. That sure hadn't been on my list of things to do today, but it is kind of nice to have it done.
