Hey, very cool. And I figured out that the Folder display shows that folder's top item in the Dock. So, to have the Dock show a custom icon, you just place whatever icon you like into that folder, name it something with a couple of spaces in the front of it so that it hops up to the top, and then the Dock will show that folder. (you need it first from the Dock, and then put it back in for the change to take place.)
