I've put off getting a digital camera for a long time, now, and I'm starting to get a little antzy. My mom got one of the original digital rebels a couple of years ago, and we have a rebel xt here at work, and, while I really like the XT, I'd rather see if I can wait until whatever the next generation of camera is.
I've been hesitant to jump on the bandwagon because I haven't felt like digital (at least pro-sumer) cams have quite arrived, but it seems like they finally have with cameras like the rebel xt. Now that I'm thinking like it may be time to purchase, I'd like to get something that will last me a long time. I'd love to get something in the 10-12MP range, but I don't really know if there's anything available in the current (or forthcoming) lineup of pro-sumer dSLR's.
So....is there anything in the pipeline that is going to replace the XT, or....are there any amazing new technologies coming out within the next 6 months that I should simply hold off on buying something until that comes out?
Just want to make sure I'm getting all the camera I can! your thoughts are welcome!
