back up photos while traveling

I have occasionally uses a photo center in a big box store to burn a CD from my card. I think it was 3 bucks? I would highly recommend you get 2 copies and mail on to yourself or a trusted recipient. I would travel with some pre addressed CD mailers for that purpose.

I don't know it they would split a larger than a 512MB card over two or more disks?

For me my largest card is 8GB so this is now a moot point for me.
