That little rant of yours would make a lot more sense if I knew it was going to become MobileMe back on October 15th when I re-upped. And I never said I hated dot.mac. I said I hated "dot.me". So that's a double-no-senser.
Yes, MobileMe makes me think of MiniMe. At best, it sounds like some sort of Baby Einstein add-on.
If it will make you happy, guitarist, there's a real good chance I won't be re-upping come October. Three (or was it four?) years of perfectly good dot.Mac use may be going down the toilet.
[quote guitarist][quote $tevie]I hate the name MobileMe and I hate the idea of a dot.me account (thank goodness I can still use dot.mac) and I hate the fact that Apple couldn't plan ahead a little better and I hate the fact that two weeks ago all my emails that I had left on their server disappeared, after being stored perfectly safely for three years, due to no reason that I can find at all. Phooey.
If you hate MobileMe, and hate .mac, you can save $99 a year by not voluntarily signing up for it and purchasing it annually.
I hate the idea of people hating ideas, but using their credit cards and personal checks to support the ideas they hate. Again and again. I just hate that!
"Dot Mac" is a much, much stupider name than MobileMe. If I can go my whole life without ever having to say "Dot Mac" again, and Apple kills the name "Dot Mac" permanently, ten minutes from now, it won't be soon enough.
