We did pipe bursting.
I would do it again. The pipe lining company was expensive, did not try to find a cheaper pipe lining company.
Pipe bursting drops in a seamless pipe from the basement to the curb (well in yard cleanouts are required here) and requires holes at each end.
Pipe lining only needs access at one end and if you have good access does not require a hole in the basement.
The pipe that was in the yard was thin, thin white. The pipe liner guys put in a 3 layer pipe - maybe this will last longer than 30 years of the original - of course with have a VERY large maple tree in the yard.
