Grado Headphones: These things own.

NO-X, that cracked me up!

The Grados are more comfortable than they were in years past and the ear pads can be retrofitted to old Grados (assuming there are any with the original, early pads left). But they sit on the ears and not around them, so for me listening time would be severely limited.

I have a pair of Senn 580s and like them a lot. I've got to replace the cable though.

I'm *still* looking for a pair of "closed" circumaural 'phones in the 580/650 class. There are times when you know that the gunshots aren't really that close and between the Lexan and Kevlar, you can kick back without breaking out your own iron. Times like those you want to isolate the extraneous noise. Nothing ruins a mood like having a gentle passage from Scheherazade peppered with gunfire.
