Listen to us. Really. PITA doesn't begin to describe it, and any misc. carelessness is going to result in even more repair (like the time I forgot to unplug the trackpad cable and ripped it....). It can be done, but really, even a refurb from these guys http://www.affordablecomputers.com/pages...p/RP-12720 would come with a years warranty, and after selling yours, you're only $100 or so to the "bad".
I wouldn't do it-and I'm fearless.
