I don't know why I bother to put serious posts in threads like this, but
Getting sworn in as president is an extremely formal situation. I assume none of us have any personal experience with that. However, I have been to many lawyer swearing in ceremonies (also formal and serious), and I have noticed that many people use their full middle name in that situation. Maybe using your full name, including the middle name, just seems proper for many people in formal, serious, situations?
