My sister has the top end and it's awesome. We just can't go that route right now (or, I should say, won't).
I did do research on the model and read reviews on the model, and today, hubby went out and purchased it! Wal-mart had the same model in a 40" for $1,200, and our furniture store had the 40" in the same line for $1,300 (the sales guy researched and verified that they were the same specs).
Ours (the 42") listed for $1,499 and we got it on sale for $999. I realize that the 60hz prices will be dropping because of the 120hz so this probably isn't a steal, but I was pleased with the price.
