Would you like a recession proof job?

I work for the Federal Government and my job is as recession-proof as you can get. Both my entire agency and specifically, my job classification is short-staffed.
Plus, legally, they can't fire us without cause...and if we never give 'em one, we're safe. Granted, the assignment I'm in right now is boring and mind-numbing, but it will get me through the next three years until retirement and a guaranteed pension.
