Recommendations on a good chairmat
#6
I've been in a similar situation with them lasting 1-2 years. The lifetime warranty is meaningless, there are handling fees that are almost as much as the replacement cost, and several weeks of processing and no guarantee that you'll get the same size/model. It's also a pain to dispose of the old ones, the city recycling center said that it's not a recyclable plastic and I would need to pay to take it to the dump.

So I decided to buy from Costco just because of their return policy. First one I got also lasted a little over a year, so I ordered a replacement but went to the next thickness/cost up from what I had, put the old one in the shipping cardboard that the new one arrived in, took it down to Costco and they gave me a cash refund for it, and they get to deal with the disposal problem.

Hopefully this new one will last a little longer before I need to repeat the process.

FWIW: The recent one I got was a Rubbermaid Diamond for about $50 46x60 no lip. I've only had it 4 months so no idea how long this one will last.
